Our story
How Frank Black dads came together to give back to our campus.
Dads have skills, tools and a few free hours. Our school has projects that need doing. Put the two together and good things happen.
The Dads Club of Frank Black Middle School brings dads, and their kids, together to improve our campus. We take on projects requested by teachers, administration and the maintenance team: classrooms, grounds, athletic facilities and anything else that makes FBMS a better place to learn and work.
The Dads Club joins the FBMS PTO, giving dads a formal way to support school projects alongside the rest of the parent community.
Dads fire up the smoker and serve a home-cooked BBQ lunch to thank teachers and staff.
More than 220 parents and 85 students put in 6,700+ volunteer hours: 1,200+ lockers removed, 90+ gallons of paint, 800+ light bulbs and 150+ ballasts replaced, and drainage fixed around campus.
6th Grade Family Day, two running track work days, the first of three faculty lunches and a Dads Club social.
Every project starts with a few dads saying yes. Get in touch and help write the next chapter.
An hour or a whole Saturday. Being there is what counts.
